Let’s face it. Not only are there days when you eat lunch at your desk, sometimes you eat breakfast ala cubicle. You know the days – you get to work early so you can get work done before the coffee klatch arrives and the time-sucking meetings begin. On those days it might be a good idea to have a few breakfast items stashed in the refrigerator like Jimmy Dean D-Lights breakfast sandwiches. The muffins are made with whole grains, and the sandwiches have 1/3 fewer calories and less than 1/2 the fat of other breakfast sandwiches.

Description: Even though it was cooked in a microwave with a paper towel as directed, it seemed soggy.
Kimberly: This is not something I would ever eat in a million years.
Gretchen: Kimberly, that’s because you’re a food snob and prefer overpriced food from Whole Foods or Central Market. I thought these sandwiches were tasty and just as good as a McDonald’s Egg McMuffin, only better for you.

LETTERS TO THE LADIES

I am new to this city and work right in the middle of uptown so lunch dates and meetings are required. My suggestion is a beautiful, eclectic boutique café called Nikolini by Organicity. It is an organic restaurant and the owner is the chef as well as a shoe designer. Nikolini does not use any processed foods, no sugars, white flour, or yeast. The food is absolutely amazing and almost guilt free! The lunch, dinner, and brunch menu is so diverse and will surely please any palate! -- Abbey

The Ladies' response: That’s a great idea. Thanks for the tip. -- Kimberly

I saw your info on Subway's healthier options. I thought you might like to know about this - you can turn any sub into a salad. It does cost a little more, but worth it if you don't want all that bread. And it's a custom made salad - you get to choose what goes on it! Very tasty. -- Scottie

The Ladies' response: Thanks for the tip -- I only see Fat Free Ranch and regular Ranch listed on the online menu for salad dressings. --Gretchen
