Dallas man 2nd in 'newpreneur' contest

A Dallas businessman was runner-up in a national competition honoring entrepreneurs who started a company during the recession.
Drew Jones of D. Jones Tailored Collection in Cedar Hill placed second and won $25,000 in the Newpreneur of the Year contest sponsored by Inc. magazine and Alibaba.com. His clothing company provides custom-tailored menswear for students and young professionals.
Another Dallas business owner, Imran Karim of Trophy Skin, placed fourth and collected $5,000.
The winner was Joel Smith of Edmonds, Wash., whose Forward Mobility firm makes medical mobility products.
