Dallas Cowboys stadium bonds rise in cost for Arlington
The company insuring the city bonds has been downgraded by all three major rating agencies since the spring. MBIA Insurance Corp., like its competitors, was heavily involved in backing mortgaged-based bonds, in addition to insuring municipal debt. The move would cost about $2 million.

Some fans will have to park almost a mile from new Dallas Cowboys stadium
Cowboys officials said that shouldn't be an adjustment because the back-row parking at Texas Stadium in Irving is about the same distance. Overall, the team expects to have about 30,000 parking spaces within a mile of the new stadium, which is nearly double the number near the Irving stadium.

The new Dallas Cowboys stadium has no seats yet, but some suites already have sliding windows installed. Completion of the retractable roof is still months away, but as the final year of construction starts, the stadium is on schedule for its projected June 2009 completion.

Arlington will have to wait for Glorypark development near stadiums
Arlington’s half-billion dollar answer to Victory Park has been put on hold because of the troubled financial and retail markets, billionaire Tom Hicks said Wednesday. Mr. Hicks, owner of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars, said Hicks Holdings has been unable to secure financing for the 1.2 million-square- foot Glorypark. The giant mixed-use development was scheduled to open in March 2010.
