Soggy day interrupts otherwise sunny week for Dallas-Fort Worth
10:25 AM CDT on Tuesday, March 16, 2010
This morning’s rain will be a brief interruption to an otherwise sunny week, forecasters say.
The showers that began falling overnight are expected to last through early afternoon. The rainfall will be mostly light with occasional moderate periods, said Steve Fano, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.
He said much of the rain will fall in Tarrant County and south of the Dallas area.
Temperatures will reach a high around 60 degrees this afternoon.
The outlook for the rest of the week looks bright.
"We'll see the return of the sun," Fano said.
Temperatures for the rest of week will stay mostly in the mid-60s. Friday's high is expected to reach 70 degrees.
