City Hall blog: Dallas says goodbye to Industrial, hello to Riverfront Boulevard
11:45 AM CST on Thursday, November 5, 2009
Perhaps you recall a little tussle some months back over what to rename Industrial Boulevard.
After all was said and done, Cesar Chavez got the stiff arm and the City Council's preference of Riverfront Boulevard was ushered in.
According to City Hall, today's the day the change becomes official, as the Industrial Blvd. signs come down and Riverfront Blvd. signs go up.
It's all part of prettying up the area's image in anticipation of the Trinity River park that City Hall hopes someday will change the rough and tumble section of town into a real estate jewel.
Please feel free to comment on fond and not so fond memories of Industrial.
