The City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs will release tickets for its Free Night of Theater program at noon Monday. The National Kidney Foundation Serving North Texas will honor local individuals in organ donation at the 2009 Gift of Life Gala at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Northwood Club, 6524 Alpha Road. The black-tie-optional event will feature dinner, dancing to the music of America's Got Talent finalist Paul Salos and the Let's Dance Orchestra, a live auction, and a special award presentation. The gala also will commemorate the 45th anniversary of the first successful kidney transplant in Texas, performed by Dr. Paul Peters, a urologist at UT Southwestern Medical Center, at Parkland Hospital in 1964.
