Robert E. Lee Elementary PTA will have its annual fall carnival from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the school, 2911 Delmar Ave., in East Dallas. The event highlights will include bounce houses, a Silly String zone, candy apples, a can-smash, pumpkin decorating, a cakewalk and raffles. University of Texas at Dallas Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies presents Dr. David Patterson in two lectures.

Patterson's discussion of "The Nazi Assault on the Holy Within the Human" begins with a reception at the University of Texas Dallas Conference Center, 800 W. Campbell Road, followed by the lecture at 4:45 p.m.
