Frisco police arrested a 38-year-old man after a nearly two-hour standoff while he barricaded himself inside an acquaintance's home Friday afternoon.
Glenn Harvick was taken into custody on an outstanding Dallas County warrant accusing him of driving while intoxicated. Police are still trying to determine why he barricaded himself in the house.
The standoff began about 3 p.m. in the 9300 block of Penton Place. The homeowner told police that Harvick had entered the home uninvited and might be armed. Police contacted Harvick by phone, and he eventually agreed to surrender. Police did not find any weapons at the time of the arrest.
Harvick may face additional charges in connection with the incident, police said.

Garland police have arrested 25 people, most of them teens, in connection with at least 15 home burglaries in the city.
One of the suspects faces a charge of possession with the intent to deliver heroin, and police believe the group was stealing flat-screen TVs and other valuable electronics to fund drug purchases.
"All of them are connected either through the offenses that they've committed or through the drugs that they were purchasing or selling," Garland police spokesman Joe Harn said of the suspects, who were arrested last month.
Of the 25 people arrested, 19 are high-school-age teenagers. Those still in school attend Rowlett, South Garland or Naaman Forest high schools, all in the Garland school district.
Police said more arrests are expected.

at driver on I-20
A driver narrowly avoided being shot early Friday on Interstate 20, and police are searching for the shooter.
About 4 a.m., the victim was driving on the highway near Belt Line Road when someone in a black Isuzu fired several shots from the front passenger seat, a witness told police. The driver managed to safely pull his Chevy Silverado over.
When police first arrived, the victim said he had been shot in the ribs, but police determined that he was cut by shattered glass. Seven bullet holes dotted the driver's side of his pickup, police said.
The victim told police he did not recognize the vehicle and does not know of anyone who would want to hurt him, according to police reports.
The witness said the shooter appeared to be a black or Hispanic man between 25 and 35 years old, wearing a white cap with a black bill.
The suspect vehicle is described as a black 1990s-model Isuzu sport utility vehicle, possibly a Trooper. The SUV had tinted windows, and an Isuzu emblem appeared to have been yanked off the back end.

holed up in gas station
Police shot and killed an armed man who barricaded himself inside a west Oak Cliff gas station Friday. Authorities say the man – who may have been a disgruntled employee – walked into the Shell station in the 3300 block of Illinois Avenue, near Cockrell Hill, just before noon.
"He confronted the manager, and at some point he presented a weapon," Dallas police Sgt. Warren Mitchell said. The manager ran out and called 911 and the gunman, whose identity had not been released Friday evening pending notification of next of kin, holed up inside.
Police responded and called SWAT officers to the scene, Mitchell said, while the man waved his handgun inside. At one point, he said, the gunman took aim at police, and one of the officers fatally shot him.
