ROCKWALL

Meeting seeks input on HOA regulations

The city of Rockwall will hold a public meeting tonight about whether to adopt standard regulations for homeowners associations.

City officials say they want to hear from residents about their experiences with HOAs and their suggestions for structuring associations. Any rules enacted by the city would affect associations formed in the future but not existing ones.

Council member Matt Scott has suggested rules such as restricting the amount by which annual dues may rise, requiring advance publication of board meeting agendas and prohibiting secret-ballot board votes.

The hearing starts at 6 p.m. at The Center, 108 E. Washington St. For information, call 972-771-7700.
