Orange Line tonight
Dallas Area Rapid Transit will hold a public meeting tonight to provide an update on construction of the Orange Line, which eventually will connect downtown Dallas to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
Staff members from DART and from Kiewit, Stacy and Witbeck, Reyes, Parsons, the contractor responsible for constructing the Orange Line's first two segments, will discuss the line's progress.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Dallas' Lynch Auditorium, 1845 E. Northgate Drive, near Tom Braniff Drive, in Irving.

struck, killed by car
A 23-year-old Dallas woman was killed when a car hit her Monday night near State Highway 121 and the Dallas North Tollway, police said.
Mecaela Guadalupe-Castillo was struck by a westbound car in the 5700 block of Headquarters Drive about 8:30 p.m. She died later at a hospital, Plano police said.
The driver of the car, whose name was not released, was not injured, police said. The investigation is continuing.
