05:29 AM CDT on Wednesday, May 14, 2008
One man was killed and two others were injured in a shooting at an apartment complex in the Red Bird area Tuesday night, Dallas police said.
Witnesses told police numerous shots were fired about 9:40 p.m. and three men were seen running through the Creek Point Apartments in the 4300 block of Woodhollow Drive, north of Dallas Executive Airport, police said.
The man who was pronounced dead at the scene was believed to be about 22, police said. His name was not released.
The two wounded men were taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital. Their conditions were unknown late Tuesday.
Homicide detectives were investigating the possibility that the shooting was gang-related and may have been in retaliation for a disturbance a few days earlier, police said.
