It appears there is truth to the constant rumors that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson are no longer an item, according to Dallas Morning News society columnist Alan Peppard.

"But after taking several oaths not to divulge my sources, two people close to Tony and Jess have told me that the glam couple is over, splitsville, kaput, put a fork in it," Peppard wrote in a blog post.

Several entertainment news sites and publications have been reporting the split.
