Family of woman pushed from car pleads for help

A camera caught the woman as she fell from the car.

DALLAS - The family of a woman pushed from a moving car while on a North Dallas Tollway exit spoke out Monday in hopes to find the man who was behind the wheel that night.

The 19-year-old woman's father and sister traveled from Arizona to join the woman's mother, who lives in North Texas, to plead for the public's help on the case.

The victim's family said the woman suffered severe road rash and third-degree burns after she was pushed from the car.

"She's covered in bandages still," said her sister.

The woman told police she was pushed from the car as she fought off unwanted sexual advances from the driver during a ride home from Oktoberfest.

"It's sinking in that this is my daughter," said her mother. "... If this person is willing to push another human being out of a vehicle, what's to say he won't do it again?"

Meanwhile, all police have to go on is a vague description of the driver and his vehicle. The victim said the man has an olive complexion, short-dark hair and is clean cut with an average build. He was also described as about 20 years old. The suspect was driving a light-colored, older-model, four-door sedan. Police said the man also may live near The Colony.

While at Oktoberfest, the man was not alone.

"She said he seemed very nice [and] was with a group," the victim's mother said. "That's why we believe someone does know who he is because they were in a group of people."

"We need a lot of help from the public, bring some justice here," her father pled.
