$10,000 reward offered for missing Dallas 9-month-old
03:49 PM CDT on Friday, June 12, 2009
The Dallas Police Department announced a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the return of a missing 9-month-old girl.
Daisja Weaver's parents say an attacker broke into their Far North Dallas apartment at 5800 Preston Oaks Road and kidnapped her late Tuesday night.
The reward is offered by Schepps Dairy and will also be given for information that leads to an arrest.
"I just want whoever has my little girl to bring her back," Weaver's mom, Tamaira Creagh, told News 8.
An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday for the Weaver, and officers utilized foot patrols, dogs and a helicopter. They also halted trash pickup to search for clues and have searched an apartment at 18949 Marsh Lane the family was moving into the night of the attack, but say the only information they have is the suspect was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
The only picture the parents were able to provide of the child was taken when she was only a few days old.
The Dallas Police Department asks anyone with information about the case to call them immediately at (214) 671-4268.
