Police ID man found slain in doorway of Dallas home

Dallas police assembled in the 4700 block of Frio Drive to investigate the shooting.

DALLAS — Shortly after midnight Wednesday, Hashim Anderson answered the door at his East Oak Cliff residence in the 4700 block of Frio Drive in Dallas.

A woman in the house heard a noise and she found Anderson, 36, slumped and bleeding on the front porch.

Detectives said the victim was dead at the scene of a gunshot wound.

Police found seven bags of marijuana and a weighing scale at the scene.

No suspects were in custody.
