Transportation blog: Kinky Friedman says, 'I don't want any toll roads in Texas'
08:30 AM CST on Wednesday, November 4, 2009
Kinky Friedman has a way of saying what's on his mind, and you usually come away without any confusion, at least not about what he believes.
That is evident again this morning in a podcast just posted over at Politico, the political news site in Washington, D.C.
In it, the singer, novelist and candidate for the Democratic nomination for governor says his chances of sitting in Gov. Rick Perry's chair a year from now are "excellent," despite pulling just 12 percent of the vote last time around.
And on toll roads, his position is crystal clear:
"We've gotta get rid of the toll roads. I don't want any toll roads in Texas," he tells Politico.
