Tuesday's Texas Rangers game highlights

Rangers 9, Angels 5

12:12 AM CDT on Wednesday, July 1, 2009

Breakdown

How Rangers hitters fared: For whatever reason, they love facing Joe Saunders. Marlon Byrd entered only 2-for-14 against the left-hander but ripped two homers in three trips against him. Ian Kinsler and Nelson Cruz also had homers off Saunders, their 19th each.

How Rangers pitchers fared: Scott Feldman did his usual work, providing a six-inning quality start (his eighth) and giving the Rangers a chance to win. The Angels loaded the bases with no outs against C.J. Wilson in the ninth, and Frank Francisco allowed two to score.
