In 1929, the series moved to Dallas' Fair Park as part of the Texas State Fair. No word if fried Twinkies or key lime pie on a stick were on the concession menus. Texas won the '29 game, 21-0, at Fair Park Stadium. The teams didn't play in 1920 and 1921 and from 1924-28 because of a Missouri Valley Conference rule against playing non-league opponents at neutral sites. OU had left the Southwest Conference to become a member of the MVC in Dec. 1919.

Hero: Bobby Robertson threw a six-yard TD pass to tackle Joe Ward. Robertson also caught a 15-yard pass from Oscar Eckhart and added an eight-yard scoring run

Notable: For the first time, the game was broadcast on radio, on WFAA in Dallas. The game was tied 7-7 at halftime, but Texas scored 25 unanswered points to win going away.
