Cowboys-Seahawks: Highs and Lows

High: Spread the ball

Diversity is a good thing in the work place and on the football field. Ten players caught a pass for the Cowboys in this win. Six players carried the ball. The Cowboys spread the ball around on third down and virtually everyone responded. This wouldn't have happened with Terrell Owens playing.

High: Special plays

Two touchdowns in two games makes Patrick Crayton a legitimate threat on punt returns. Punter Mat McBriar had a net of 44.8 yards and dropped two of his four punts inside the 20. David Buehler had four touchbacks. This improvement in this phase of the game from last season is dramatic.

High: Forcing TOs

The defense's inability to force turnovers has been an issue. The group had two interceptions in last week's win over Atlanta. There were no interceptions Sunday, but the Cowboys did force two fumbles. The first set up a quick score for the offense, which needed to cover just 29 yards. The defense is playing aggressively.

Low: Curious decision

Why did Tony Romo roll out and try to throw the ball with a 28-point lead in the fourth quarter? After Seattle forced a fumble and scored quickly, why did he remain in the game? Why expose Romo when the outcome is in hand? If you primarily want to hand off the rest of the way, why not get Jon Kitna some work?
