You could take Lefty's accomplishments at the Nelson and Colonial and have a solid career – three wins, $3.6 million in earnings and a sub-69 scoring average. No. 2 in the World Ranking, Mickelson will be a favorite in both. Although he missed last year's Nelson, he compensated with his thread-the-needle shot on the final hole to win at Colonial.

The big Fijian was the first Nelson champion to earn $1 million, in 2003. The victory was his first since turning 40, making him the second-oldest Nelson champion behind Loren Roberts (43). Singh returns after a one-year absence and is making his first Colonial start since 2002.

The Dallas native likes working from home. In 30 starts, he's missed the cut once – at the 2000 Nelson. Even as an amateur, he made the cut in both. He posted his best Colonial finish (runner-up) and second-best Nelson finish (T-9th) in 2003.

The Dallas resident can still become the only player to sweep all four Texas events. His first two wins came in Houston and Fort Worth, then he tacked on a Texas Open victory and another Colonial win 11 years after his first. He's come close at the Nelson, finishing one stroke back in 1993.

The Dallas native earned the biggest victory of his career at the 2007 Nelson, the first Nelson since his hero, Byron Nelson, died. He attended the Nelson as a kid, and his mother volunteered. Although Colonial suits his shot-making skills, he's fared better at the Nelson.

The Fort Worth resident has played both events for nine straight years. In 2007, he came close to a double, winning the Colonial and tying for third in the Nelson to pocket $1.4 million. He followed that with two missed cuts last year.

The Australian, who lives in Flower Mound, has embraced his adopted local events. At last year's Colonial, he was tied for the lead with one hole remaining but lost to Phil Mickelson, who birdied the final hole. It was Pampling's fourth top-12 finish in a row in Fort Worth.

The Westlake resident almost won his first Nelson in 2002. He shot a final-round 65 but finished two strokes back. Still, the $518,400 payday came in handy. He got married six days later and managed to secure his card for the next year. He has averaged $116,204 per D-FW start.

The Englishman, 18th in the World Ranking, has fared well in his three DFW starts. He seems to play best on tough layouts. He was second at the 2008 British Open, and this year, his best finishes have been a second at the Players Championship, T-5th at Quail Hollow, and T-9th at the WGC Match Play.

The Floridian has made himself at home in Dallas and Fort Worth with sub-70 scoring averages at both events. A final-round 66 put him in a tie for first with Sergio Garcia and Robert Damron at the 2004 Nelson, but he double-bogeyed the first playoff hole.
