Kyle Busch's No. 51 Toyota wasn't supposed to be on the track Thursday night during qualifying for the Chevy Silverado 350. The transporter carrying the truck, owned by Billy Ballew, caught fire at about 4 a.m. Wednesday in Shreveport, La., en route to Texas Motor Speedway. Crew members worked through the night to get it ready, and the long hours paid off.
Jeff Gordon is in the Chase or the Cup, but he hasn't finished higher than third in any Sprint Cup race this season.
