Man pleads guilty to robbery where victim made chicken

A man who robbed a 72-year-old Taylor woman last year plead guilty to aggravated robbery and kidnapping Wednesday.

According to the Williamson County district attorney, on May 31, 2007, the woman found 22-year-old Paul Anthony Scales, Jr., in her home pointing her own gun at her - and he ordered her to take off her clothes.
District Attorney John Bradley said in a media release that the woman fed Scales chicken and they talked for about three hours.
Afterward, Scales tied up her hands and feet and took $21 in change.
The woman contacted police and described the robber, and Taylor police found Scales on June 1, 2007.
The DA's office said the woman accused Scales of stealing her sense of security at the sentencing, and encouraged him to spend his time in prison praying and finding a trade.
Scales recieved 40 years in prison for each offense - to be served concurrently. He won’t be eligible for parole for 20 years.
