National Guard units deploy to Iraq

Nearly 3,000 National Guard soldiers are headed for duty in Iraq.

Their send-off ceremony was held Thursday at Fort Hood.
The soldiers are all members of the Ohio and Michigan national guards. They have been training at Fort Hood.
Some of the troops will provide security for convoys in southern Iraq.
This is the largest deployment of National Guard troops since World War II.
