Insurance company ranks Austin 14th in teen accident study

The Austin area leads the state when it comes to deadly accidents involving teen drivers according to a study by Allstate Insurance.
The company -- which says there were 202 of those accidents between 2002 and 2006 -- ranked Austin 14th nationwide.
Speeding was the biggest factor, followed by failure to wear seatbelts and alcohol or drug abuse.
Here in Austin, May, June and September are the deadliest months for teen drivers.
