Rafael Zamora was arrested near Chapa Middle School Monday morning, about an hour after school resource officers say a caller told the school a bomb was set to go off.
The school was evacuated and searched, but officials say nothing suspicious was found.
Sheriff's deputies say they tracked down the call and identified Zamora in the investigation.
He is charged with making a false report. If convicted, Zamora could be sentenced up to two years in jail and fined up to $10,000.
