Nicholas Hofman
The suspect, Nicholas Hofman, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and display of a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.
According to police, Hofman was driving down South Lakeline Blvd. Tuesday, when it happened. Hofman blew an "after-market" air horn on his Chevy Blazer.
He and another driver stopped and police say they had words in front of an apartment complex. That's when Hofman went back to his apartment, retrieved a 12-gauge shotgun and returned to the scene to confront the other driver again.
Police say Hofman was sitting in his truck when he showed off his shotgun to the other man. They say they later found the shotgun under Hofman's bed inside his apartment.
Hofman was arrested and booked into the Williamson County Jail.
If convicted, Hofman could face up to 20 years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
