2 charged in Hays County counterfeit case

A second person has been charged with forgery after Hays County sheriff's investigators say a woman tried to buy fireworks with fake money.

Hays County sheriff's deputies say Tanya Bostick, 25, tried to use a fake $100 bill at a fireworks stand in Buda Friday night.
When law enforcement showed up at Bostick's home in Kyle, they say they found more counterfeit bills as well as stolen goods. Investigators also charged Stephen Barham, 27, with possession of marijuana and now forgery.
Bostick's bond was set at $7,500. Barham's bonds totaled $12,500.
Both remain in the Hays County Jail.
