06:05 PM CDT on Monday, June 29, 2009
Austin police have arrested a man for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after an incident Friday involving a bandana and a metal padlock.
According to the arrest affidavit, Christopher Lynch, 25, solicited a group for money as they walked along 6th Street shortly before 1 a.m.
When they refused, police say Lynch pulled out a bandana with a metal pad lock attached to it.
Police say he swung the weapon and hit one of the men over the head just as he was about to enter his hotel, causing a gash that required stitches.
