Austin sets energy demand record

Austinites are using more electricity than ever before to fight off record high temperatures.
The blazing sun beat down on Austin Monday, with a record high temperature of 106 degrees at Camp Mabry,
For the third time in the last week, citywide energy use created another record for peak usage.
Austin Energy says peak demand was 2,579 mega watts.
