Austin police say a woman who was believed kidnapped in Northwest Austin has been found safe.

Friday morning at 8, police received a disturbance call from the Balones Ranch Apartments off Highway 183 N.

Authorities say the apartment was "trashed," and the resident, 47-year-old Deborah Defazi, was not there.

Just after 11 a.m. investigators told KVUE the woman was safe. No other details were released.
