An inmate was found dead at the Travis County Correctional Complex, authorities said Monday.

Investigators say an officer found Blynda Loy Brooks, 58, unresponsive in her cell on Oct. 4 around 5 a.m. Brooks was later declared dead.

The Travis County Medical Examiner's Office says there is so far no evidence of foul play. But the cause of death is unknown, and test results are still pending. Travis County sheriff's officials said an investigation is underway.

Austin police arrested Brooks on September 25 on charges of trespassing.

This is the third in-custody death in Travis County in 2008.
