APD investigates possible hit-and-run
10:47 AM CDT on Sunday, October 19, 2008
Austin police are investigating the death of a man found at the corner of Lamar Blvd. and Cesar Chavez Saturday morning.
Construction workers found the body just before noon under the Lamar Bridge.
Police say his body had been there for several hours.
They say it looks like he was walking along the guardrail on Cesar Chavez -- and was hit by a car headed west on that road.
The medical examiner is expected to do a preliminary autopsy Sunday morning.
