08:33 PM CDT on Thursday, October 22, 2009
Police are asking for help finding a six-foot long monitor lizard that got loose in Central East Austin.
The reptile, named Rosti, was last seen entering the creek bed that parallels Wellington Drive between Rogge Lane and Manor Road.
Some monitor lizards can be dangerous, but the pet’s owner says he is a house pet and not aggressive.
Anyone that has seen Rosti is asked to call 311.
