Money stolen from Metro Police union
11:48 AM CST on Monday, January 7, 2008
The union for Metro Police is trying to figure out what happened to their money. Apparently a lot of it is missing.
It’s not clear exactly how much or who may have taken it.
The union held a meeting Sunday night. After the meeting, the interim president couldn’t say much about the missing money, but said an investigation is underway.
“We have been investigating until we can do an audit. Once we do the audit, we’ll be turning it over to the Houston Police Department or the Harris County District Attorney’s office for further investigation and if possible of wrong doing, then if charges need to be filed,” Robert Lozano from the Metro Police Association said.
