2 cops, 2 citizens hurt in crash that shut down Shepherd

HOUSTON -- Four people, including two police officers, were sent to the hospital after a car accident in the 5500 block of Shepherd late Tuesday.
The road was closed in both directions just after 10:45 p.m.
Two Houston police officers in one squad car were responding to a call when they T-boned an older model Mercedes. A man in the Mercedes had to be extracted out of the car. A woman in the car was able to get out on her own.
The man is reported to be in serious condition.
Both police officers also went to the hospital to get checked out.
