11:37 AM CDT on Tuesday, May 6, 2008
HOUSTON -- A Precinct 4 deputy is recovering after he was involved in a crash in north Harris County.
Investigators say it happened as the deputy was responding to a call late Monday night.
He was heading north on Ella, investigators say, when he lost control and went over the curb.
The tires blew out, and the car went into oncoming traffic and crashed into a pickup truck.
The deputy was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The other driver was not hurt.
