Funeral set for motorcycle hit-and-run victim

HOUSTON—Funeral services for the victim of a hit-and-run motorcycle accident were scheduled for Wednesday.
Frank Freeman, 60, was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a van on the East Freeway Friday night.
The man who hit him, Jeffrey Simmons, was allegedly intoxicated.
Witnesses said Simmons kept driving for a mile with the bike lodged beneath his vehicle before he stopped.
He’s in jail, charged with intoxication manslaughter and failure to stop and render aid.
Freeman’s funeral will be at the Sterling White Funeral Home in the 6100 block of Garth Road in Baytown at 3 p.m.
