HOUSTON—HPD has chosen a new chairman for their police foundation.

Chief Harold Hurtt announced Wednesday that Tilman Fertitta will take on the job.

Fertitta is the president and CEO of Landry’s Restaurants.

The police foundation pays for a lot of the equipment and gear the officers use on a daily basis.
