Police: Man fires back during drive-by
10:15 AM CDT on Friday, May 9, 2008
HOUSTON — Police are trying to determine what sparked a drive-by shooting in east Harris County.
It happened on Waldine Street near Beltway 8 just before midnight.
A man told police he was sitting on his front porch when a car drove by and someone inside began shooting at him.
Police say a bullet grazed the man, but that didn’t stop him from pulling out his own gun and returning fire. His bullets struck the driver in the arm and a passenger in the back, police said.
No one was seriously hurt.
