10:27 AM CDT on Friday, May 9, 2008
Two separate wrong-way accidents have left one man dead and a toddler seriously injured in Brazoria County.
The first happened on Highway 288 just north of Manvel.
Police say a pickup truck was travelling south in the northbound lanes when it slammed into another pickup.
One person died and two others were taken to the hospital in serious condition.
And just two hours earlier, another wreck in Brazoria left a toddler seriously hurt.
It happened on FM 1462 near County Road 377.
State troopers say a truck crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into a car.
A toddler was inside that car. A LifeFlight helicopter flew the child to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
