HOUSTON -- A Houston ISD school bus has been involved in an accident on Loop 610 northbound near Fournace. Students have been taken off the bus. All but one northbound lane of Loop 610 were closed to traffic for about two hours.

The students were from Pershing Middle School and they were on their way to a field trip. HISD said one of the students aboard the bus, a 7th-grade girl, suffered an ankle injury. The rest have continued on to their field trip to George Ranch in Fort Bend County.

Traffic lanes reopened at about 11:15 a.m.
