Shanell Mosley took the stand and the judge agreed to reduce her bond to $200,000 as long as Mosley proves she has given her passport to police.
Despite the decision, Mosley says she will remain in jail because she can't afford to pay the bond.
She calims it is still too high.
Prosecutors say Mosley left her six children and two of her neighbor’s children with no supervision while she traveled to Nigeria.
Mosley insists it was all a misunderstanding.
She is charged with two counts of endangering a child.
