According to police, officers closed off the front door at the Pink Monkey nightclub, located in Franklin at Louisiana, and began checking for drugs and intoxication Friday night.

Police say the club was also over the capacity limit.

Multiple types of drugs were found inside the club, police say. They say 70 people were arrested for various charges.

But the chaos didn’t stop there.

Police say a man stole a private ambulance from a Starbucks store and ran into another vehicle at the scene of the raid.  He then crashed through a police barricade striking two police cars.

He finally ended up ramming into a fire department emergency services vehicle on Franklin at Milam, police say.

He was trapped in the ambulance and firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to get him out.

The suspect was taken to the hospital, but that didn't save him from being arrested. No officers were hurt in the crash.
