HOUSTON -- Police said a woman's ex-boyfriend shot and killed her current boyfriend outside her home in the Spring Branch area early Tuesday morning.

Houston police were dispatched to the home near Spur and Long Point around 12:30 a.m. When they arrived, an ambulance was already on the scene, bringing the shooting victim to Northwest Memorial Hospital.

"He was pronounced dead at the hospital," HPD Officer E.R. Godwin said.

Witnesses said the woman's ex-boyfriend shot the man, who does not live at the home. Police said the woman lives at the home with several family members, including her children.

Police aren't sure what prompted the shooting, and they are looking for the suspect. He is 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 200 pounds.
