HOUSTON -- A Continental Express Jet blew out a pair of tires while landing at Houston’s Bush Intercontinental Airport Wednesday afternoon. None of the 43 passengers or 3 crew members were injured, an airline spokesman said.
Flight 2766 was landing at Houston’s big airport after taking off from Lafayette, La. Despite the problems with the tires, the plane actually arrived on time, said airline officials.
Buses were dispatched to the airport’s taxi way to allow passengers to get off the commuter plane, but were called back when airport officials decided to tow the plane to the jetway.
