Metro worker hit by wrong-way driver

HOUSTON—A Metro employee was recovering Wednesday after being hit by a wrong-way driver.
It happened at about 4 a.m. on the North Freeway near Quitman in the HOV lane.
The employee had just gotten back in her car after opening the HOV gates when a man, who had somehow entered the lane from the other side, hit her.
Neither of them suffered life-threatening injuries.
