HOUSTON -- Four kids were hospitalized after an accident involving an all-terrain vehicle late Saturday night.

Police said the kids – three females and a male – all piled onto the ATV around 11:30 p.m. and took it for a ride through their neighborhood.

While they were riding, the driver ran a stop sign and the ATV was struck by a car.   All four kids were thrown from the vehicle.

They were taken to Texas Children’s with head injuries and broken bones.

The driver and passenger in the car were expected to recover.
