HOUSTON -- Houston police are looking for victims of a woman they said bilked people out of big bucks while claiming to be a doctor or a forensic pathologist with HPD.

Katherine M. Milliken, 57, was taken into custody on July 3 and has been charged with ID theft.
Police said Milliken stole more than $100,000 from five victims by using their names and personal info to obtain multiple credit cards.
In addition, she allegedly used the name of a business, Hobby Squadron Association, to open numerous checking accounts to make payments on those cards.
Milliken posed as a doctor and spoke to a local aviators’ group in 2006 after meeting one of the members.
Milliken offered to host the group’s weekly meetings at a building she clamed to own in the 8200 block of Travelair in southeast Houston.
Members of the group, known as the Hobby Squadron, filled out personal information forms to attend the meetings in her building.
Using that information, Milliken allegedly opened charge accounts, purchased goods and took lavish trips.
On June 4, one of the group members reported to HPD that he was a victim of identity theft and named Milliken as a possible suspect.
Subsequent victims said Milliken claimed to have medical connections and could get federal grand money for non-profit organizations. Those victims gave her about $26,000 in hopes of receiving grant money. That never happened.
Still others said Milliken claimed to work as a forensic pathologist for HPD. She even told some she was terminally ill with cancer to gain sympathy.
Police arrested Milliken at her home without incident, following a lengthy investigation.
At the time of her arrest, she was in possession of cocaine.
Investigators ask that anyone who may have been victimized by Milliken contact the HPD Financial Crimes Unit at 713-308-2500.
