DEER PARK, Texas -- A man in his 20s was gunned down in the parking lot of a Deer Park grocery store Friday night.

The shooting happened in front of the Gerland’s in the 9700 block of Spencer Highway. The unidentified man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Deer Park police were releasing few details about what happened.
