No charges expected in this fatal auto pedestrian accident.
Houston—No charges are expected to be filed against a driver who hit and killed a man who walked out into traffic Sunday night on Maxey near Fleming in northeast Houston.
One car managed to avoid hitting him, but a truck driver wasn’t able to stop in time, authorities say.
The man was taken to the hospital where he died.
Police say that the victim wasn’t in a cross-walk and the area is not well-lit, so the driver didn’t see the man.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver stopped to help and passed alcohol tests.
